Recovery day with Chickenfoot

Recovery days are just as important as kick ass workout days.  Yesterday was a hard ”Arm Day” (chins, rows, and close grip fat bar floor presses) at IFAST, so today is a day off.

To help you relax, here’s a little bit of Chickenfoot to lead you into a productive weekend.

    Bill,

Sound like it was a fantastic “Arm Day.” Are there times when you’ll still throw in an occasional arm isolation movement in programs at IFAST? Obviously your arm day sounds like just what the doctor ordered for almost anyone, so this question is more out of curiosity than anything else.

And thanks for including a quality tune! Have a great weekend.

On occasion, sure, but rarely is it a priority.

What do you usually recommend clients do on off days for recovery if their goal is strength and how many days a week would you have them do this? Do you like for them to take the day completely off or do some light mobility or aerobic work with HR around a certain level? Thanks and have a great weekend!

Some will take it off completely. Some will do low intensity work like you mentioned. It really depends on the individual and where they are in their programming.
