The Finish
I don’t like New Years resolutions.
They’re usually meaningless and made while in the presence of a group of friends after consuming a few adult beverages and goes something like this, “This year I’m going to start…”
Achieving anything worthwhile isn’t about the start.
It’s about the finish.

Exactly! Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes, actually by Yoda. When Luke Skywalker said he would “try” and lift the ship, Yoda told him, “there is no try, only do”. So don’t try to do something this year, just do it.

Even better is when Yoda lifts the X-wing out of the swamp with his mind. He sets it down as Luke looks on, incredulous.
“I don’t believe it,” Luke mutters.
Yoda looks at him, sagely and says, “THAT is why you fail.”
